Help me bring Israeli Campers to Camp Chi
Paying it forward by helping to fund the amazing experience of overnight camp!
Hi, I am Natalie and I am 12 years old. I’ve been going to overnight camp at Camp Agawak in Minocqua, Wisconsin, for four summers now and it’s changed my life.
At camp, I’ve learned how to be more independent, try new things, and make amazing friends from all over. It’s a place where I can be myself, laugh a lot, and not worry about anything.
I want to help kids in Israel who’ve had their lives turned upside down by the war. I want to raise money so they can come to the U.S. and go to camp too—to have fun, feel safe, and just be kids again.
So, I am partnering with JCC Chicago to help raise money to bring Israeli kids to experience all the wonderful camp things at Camp Chi!
For many years, Camp Chi has partnered with many organizations to bring Israeli Campers to Lake Delton for a quintessential American Jewish summer camp experience. During COVID, this programming was put on hold.
Following the horrific events of October 7, Israeli partners reached out to Camp Chi to see if it might be possible to once again welcome Israeli young people, particularly those from communities impacted or displaced on October 7 and those who have lost parents or siblings in the current conflict.
In Summer 2024, Camp Chi was humbled to welcome more than 110 campers from Israel – the most ever in one summer. Philanthropic support played an important role in making Camp Chi accessible for Israeli families whose lives have been upended since October 7 – and continues to do so for the coming summer.
With my mitzvah project, I hope to raise more than $15,000 to help bring even more Israeli campers to Camp Chi for summer 2026. Please help me on this special fundraising experience!
Am Yisrael Chai!
Love, Natalie
